London's heavy wild come to Schokoladen for their debut performance in Germany on April 28th to celebrate the release of new single 'Lonely Dawn'. The lo-fi/alt-rock projected fronted by Wolfgang Harte has carved out an exciting reputation for their dark and compelling live performances with headline shows last year in New York, Paris & London to support the release of their debut EP 'Death Dreams'.
Sonically, heavy wild's blend of fuzzy psych-rock, driving post-punk and lof-fi grunge has seen them join the likes of Ekkstacy, Current Joys and High School as a key name in the modern gothic/lo-fi scene of recent years.

Formed in 2011, Telepathy is the creation of three Polish brothers: Piotr, Albert, and Krystian Turek, and English guitarist Richard Powley. Bringing a collision of musical influences from Tool, Deftones, and Vangelis to genres as diverse as synthwave and post-punk, it is the collective’s pervading love for film and movie scores that truly unites the band’s members under the Telepathy banner. Together, the four-piece quickly made a name for themselves through their instrumental balance of atypical tunings, found audio samples and joyride-like time signatures, conveying remarkably deep and dynamic narratives through their instruments alone.
Fargo is a german post-rock band from Leipzig, formed in 2012. They typically compose lengthy atmospheric instrumental pieces, featuring layers of effect-laden guitars and heavy usage of dynamics with traces of ambient.

As GUM TAKES TOOTH, the duo of Thomas Fug and Jussi Brightmore plot an adventurous, idiosyncratic and willfully unpredictable trajectory. Continuously exploring and mutating with an ever more nuanced approach while maintaining a staunch commitment to non-conformity, the band formed in East London in 2009 with wild gigs across the East London underground music and art scene. Early material coalesced primitive DIY Silver Apples electronics, blast beat mayhem, and experimental noise with explosive avant-punk energy.
Now marrying an unflinching beat-driven assault to a questing and transformative vision, their fourth album RECOVERY POSITION (2023) represents a clean slate for Gum Takes Tooth at a time when this ever shifting and morphing entity sheds its skin once again, revealing a lean, formidable and precise new form.
Recalibrating their signature enmeshing of drums and electronics they landed on a propulsive all-electronic delivery that stubbornly eschews genre constraints while maintaining the duo’s clear affinity for the rattle and rumble of bass bins under duress. Thus was birthed a unique amalgam of industrial grime aerobics, sci-fi mutant 808 protest music and hands-in-the-air rave bangers.
The album documents the tumultuous years of personal and worldwide upheaval since its predecessor. Yet the duo have alchemically transcended their circumstances, channelling the personal and political into salvation. True to form, what’s emerged is their most singular and potent work to date, simultaneously their most pop-adjacent and their most extreme.

DIAMOND DOG's dystopian punk vibe began in 2020 and came to fruition with the full band in 2021.
The band flourishes in a hybrid identity on rhythmic, danceable tracks, propelled by synthetic textures where chorus and reverb reign supreme. The trio from Dijon, led by visceral lead vocals, expresses itself on stage through an incandescent atmosphere marked by the fury of the Cramps, the melodies of Liszt, and the aesthetics of Lynch.
Their debut album, Usual Chronicles, was released in March 2023 on the EMB Blanc and Wave Records labels. The band has already played more than 150 concerts across Europe and has just released their new 4-track EP, Throbs, in September 2025 on IcyCold Records.

LSD – Liebe Statt Drogen ist eine der bekanntesten Lesebühnen Berlins. Jeden Dienstagabend gestalten die 5 Mitglieder von LSD und eingeladene Gäste im Berliner Schokoladen ein Programm aus neuen Texten und Songs. Gegründet 1996 besteht LSD heute aus den Mitgliedern Mia Pittroff, Richard Blaha, Andreas „Spider“ Krenzke, Uli Hannemann, Tobias „Tube“ Herre und Ivo Smolak. Alle 5 genannten Künstler sind als Autoren und Musiker auch in anderen Bereichen aktiv.
LSD bietet jeden 1. & 3. Dienstag ein Offenes Mikro für Menschen an, die spontan etwas vortragen wollen. Beachtet bitte, dass der Beitrag selbstverfasst sein muss und nicht länger als 6 Minuten dauert. Wer am Offenen Mikro liest, braucht keinen Eintritt zahlen und bekommt ein Freigetränk.
From their spacecraft, SATELLITE JOCKEY explores the universe of pop. Pop in the broadest sense: psychedelia, 1970s film soundtracks, bouncy post-punk, 1960s baroque pop, funky variété— all of it captured and tastefully reshaped by the quintet. As radio standards and fleeting trends come and go, the musicians sing their timeless songs in French, joyfully and in four-part harmony. Preferring violin and flute to computers, the band’s organic groove proves that arranged, live-performed pop doesn’t belong to the past— it can make the future resonate too.

... einige behaupten, es seien wahnsinnig schlimme Zeiten.
Es gibt aber auch welche, die sagen, dass es eigentlich immer so beschissen war.
Andere wiederum sehen das alles nicht so kritisch: „Tote jibbet immer.“ „Ich will jetzt meinen Flat White.“
„Hat jemand Bock auf ne Radtour?“
Was kann das für uns alle und die Band Oiro bedeuten?
Dass sich garantiert morgens der Himmel hellgrau auf die Straßen von Düsseldorf-Flingern legen wird?
Dass Benzin immer noch ordentlich brennt, wenn man Feuer dranhält? Dass täglich auf dem Weg zur Arbeit inkognito Faschos in der 709 neben einem sitzen?
Ist es egal und eh alles scheinbar bewegter Stillstand? Können wir uns glücklich kaufen, ohne es zu merken?
Können wir an der Tütensuppe vorbeilatschen, ohne zu zucken? Können wir den sich überall öffnenden Toren widerstehen?
Manche haben auch Schiss davor, dass Ihnen jetzt alles vorgeschrieben wird. Das haut voll rein.
Da seh ich direkt Honecker und Stalin durch den Hofgarten spazieren, man hört im Hintergrund eine*n rumbrüllen und direkt danach Schüsse ... Sozialismus halt, normal. Moral irgendwie am Boden, ne Pfütze aus Alt, Kölsch, Staub, Kot und so ein paar Atom-Dingern, also radioaktiv, besser immer die Schuhe abduschen nach dem Spaziergang mit Schäferhündin Cora und Ihren erstaunlich geräumigen Verdauungsorganen. Ächz. Am Ende hilft es nix: Man muss Musik machen. Mit Cello und Panflöte Akzente setzen. Texte schreiben.
Feiern, Tanzen, Schwofen whatever ... wir haben Roland, den grauen, antifaschistischen Schlagzeug-Bot mit nach Duisburg und Düsseldorf-Wersten genommen, ihn spielen lassen und unser Zeug darüber gelegt und damit Zweite Kasse Bitte aufgenommen, eine Hommage an die kryptisch-gute Einkaufssituation in Düsseldorf-Wersten, eine Ode an in Schutt und Asche gehauene Hochkultur, unser Abgesang auf alle Luxuslover.
Dabei haben wir erkannt: Wir haben nur einige wenige so richtig lieb, der Rest kann Roland an seinem digitalen Arsch lecken. Zwei besonders Liebe haben wir aber gefunden, die uns dabei geholfen haben, die wirren Gedanken und Töne zu bündeln und im kalten Januar 2026 innerhalb von vier Tagen in elf fluffig-punkige Tracks zu verwandeln:
Peta Devlin (Produktion, Bands: Oma Hans, Die Braut haut ins Auge) aus HH/UK und Volker Albrecht (Engineering, Tumult Studios, Bands: Die Schwarzen Schafe, The Vageenas) aus DD/Wersten.
Für andere wäre sowas Arbeit, bei uns ist es Urlaub mit kühlem Hansa und Michelada ... Dance-Fun-Punk, Alte Neue Deutsche Welle, Gaga-Wave, Synthi-Noise ... halt alles, was Bock macht komprimiert in 30 Minuten. Also let´s dance und denkt dran: Macht euch nicht verrückt, ihr seid nicht schuld an dem ganzen Dreck.
Wir haben euch lieb, eure Oiros
OK NEIN aus Berlin sind fünf Menschen, die alle schon mal mit Bands wie Ein gutes Pferd, Grizou, Francesco und Loveburgers auf der Bühne standen. Musikalisch lassen sich die Vorgängerbands nicht verleugnen, ebenso wenig die Einflüsse aus 80er Pop, 90er Punk, Emo und Hardcore. So Sound „macht ja kaum jemand heutzutage noch“, sagt MyRuin-Rosi - Na dann!
