Mit der Intimität eines Trios erzählt Grandma’s Ashes vom Pariser Alltag, der von Gewalt und
Gleichgültigkeit geprägt ist. Angetrieben von der rohen Energie einer Live-Rock-Show, die
Konventionen in Frage stellt, connecten die drei, jungen Frauen mit ihrem Publikum.
2021 und 2023 veröffentlichten sie eine EP und anschließend ihr erstes Album, auf dem sie
kraftvolle Riffs mit klarer Stimme verbinden, um die ambivalenten Emotionen einer intimen
Odyssee auszudrücken. Die Poesie ihrer Texte vermittelt die feministische und ökologisch
besorgte Botschaft einer von Zweifeln geplagten Generation und schlägt Alarm angesichts der
raschen Erosion unserer Rechte und unserer Umwelt.

Grandma's Ashes spielten in Hunderten von Veranstaltungsorten in ganz Frankreich – darunter
La Maroquinerie, Le Trabendo in Paris – und auf renommierten Festivals wie Hellfest,
Motocultor und Francofolies sowie in einem Dutzend Clubs in Spanien. Im Frühjahr 2026 wird
die Band zum ersten Mal in Deutschland, Österreich, Belgien und der Schweiz auftreten!
Am 24. Oktober hat die Band ihr zweites Album BRUXISM veröffentlicht, das ihrem Bedürfnis
nach Experimentierfreudigkeit und künstlerischer Freiheit gerecht wird. Die neuen Songs, die
von New Wave- und Grunge-Klängen geprägt sind, werden von der Bühne mit dem dringenden
Bedürfnis angetrieben, ihre engagierte Botschaft noch weiter zu verbreiten.

LSD – Liebe Statt Drogen ist eine der bekanntesten Lesebühnen Berlins. Jeden Dienstagabend gestalten die 5 Mitglieder von LSD und eingeladene Gäste im Berliner Schokoladen ein Programm aus neuen Texten und Songs. Gegründet 1996 besteht LSD heute aus den Mitgliedern Mia Pittroff, Richard Blaha, Andreas „Spider“ Krenzke, Uli Hannemann, Tobias „Tube“ Herre und Ivo Smolak. Alle 5 genannten Künstler sind als Autoren und Musiker auch in anderen Bereichen aktiv.

LSD bietet jeden 1. & 3. Dienstag ein Offenes Mikro für Menschen an, die spontan etwas vortragen wollen. Beachtet bitte, dass der Beitrag selbstverfasst sein muss und nicht länger als 6 Minuten dauert. Wer am Offenen Mikro liest, braucht keinen Eintritt zahlen und bekommt ein Freigetränk.

SELDOM PRETTY began in early 2024 as the solo project of singer & bassist David Paulis, who expanded its formation to include the guitar work of Marco Beiato and Francesco Bressan on drums. The band’s forthcoming self-titled album, produced in collaboration with Enrico Baraldi (Vacuum Studio) and Claudio Adamo (Fonoprint studios), combines alternative rock, post-punk and industrial influences into an ineffable blend of raw energy.

The idea behind the creation of the album, according to Paulis, is to communicate human emotion and theimprint of lasting experiences through concise, efficient lyrics and unpretentious, visceral soundscapes.

Post-punk sensation PIEUVRE from the bubbly Berlin underground will celebrate the release of their new full length album "Away from Human Behaviour", brought to you by Kitchenleg Records and Adagio830. Once Pia, Lina and Fege met, they fused their influences, patching together raw-no wavey guitars, a punk-funk like rhythm session and well crafted vocal melodies in three languages. Playful, dance-able, very feminist and mostly quite impertinent. They released their debut  "Hyperstretch" with Kitchenleg Records in 2023 and a music video for their single “Wardrobe” in May 2024. ByteFM praised Pieuvre's debut as "grungy lo-fi post-punk, for fans of fuzzed-out guitar sounds".

RE-AKTION (punk, potsdam) + KÜCHENSPIONE (punk,weimar)

Re-Aktion war eine der ersten Punkbands Potsdams. Gegründet wurde die Band 1985 von Herzi und Clemens und gelang schnell ins Visier der Staatssicherheit. Es folgten Vorladungen, Einschüchterungsversuche und 1988 die Verhaftung des Sängers.
2019 wurde auf Hörsturzproduktion eine LP mit Aufnahmen aus den Jahren 1987/1988 veröffentlicht. Und gelegentlich spielt die Band auch mal live gesielt in 3/4 der original-Besetzung.

Die Küchenspione wurde 1987 in Weimar gegründet und breiteten sich dort wie ein Pilzgeflecht aus. Unzählige Musikanten und Seitenprojekte entsprangen dieser Punkrock-Keimzelle, die bis heute aktiv ist und immer wieder mal irgendwo spielt.

London's heavy wild come to Schokoladen for their debut performance in Germany on April 28th to celebrate the release of new single 'Lonely Dawn'. The lo-fi/alt-rock projected fronted by Wolfgang Harte has carved out an exciting reputation for their dark and compelling live performances with headline shows last year in New York, Paris & London to support the release of their debut EP 'Death Dreams'.
 
Sonically, heavy wild's blend of fuzzy psych-rock, driving post-punk and lof-fi grunge has seen them join the likes of Ekkstacy, Current Joys and High School as a key name in the modern gothic/lo-fi scene of recent years. 

Dreampop und Shoegaze aus Berlin und Hamburg: Das Duo Garland verzaubert mit zwei Stimmen, feiner Gitarrenarbeit und geschmackvollen Synthesizer-Klängen. Schon der Name der Band - eine Referenz an das erste Album der Cocteau Twins - erinnert an die ätherischen Atmosphären der 90er zwischen Edelpop und New-Wave - ohne dabei die notwendige Härte vermissen zu lassen, ein Lärm, der sich etwa in einem Soundgefühl à la My Bloody Valentine ausdrückt.

Formed in 2011, Telepathy is the creation of three Polish brothers: Piotr, Albert, and Krystian Turek, and English guitarist Richard Powley. Bringing a collision of musical influences from Tool, Deftones, and Vangelis to genres as diverse as synthwave and post-punk, it is the collective’s pervading love for film and movie scores that truly unites the band’s members under the Telepathy banner. Together, the four-piece quickly made a name for themselves through their instrumental balance of atypical tunings, found audio samples and joyride-like time signatures, conveying remarkably deep and dynamic narratives through their instruments alone.

Fargo is a german post-rock band from Leipzig, formed in 2012. They typically compose lengthy atmospheric instrumental pieces, featuring layers of effect-laden guitars and heavy usage of dynamics with traces of ambient.

As GUM TAKES TOOTH, the duo of Thomas Fug and Jussi Brightmore plot an adventurous, idiosyncratic and willfully unpredictable trajectory. Continuously exploring and mutating with an ever more nuanced approach while maintaining a staunch commitment to non-conformity, the band formed in East London in 2009 with wild gigs across the East London underground music and art scene. Early material coalesced primitive DIY Silver Apples electronics, blast beat mayhem, and experimental noise with explosive avant-punk energy.

Now marrying an unflinching beat-driven assault to a questing and transformative vision, their fourth album RECOVERY POSITION (2023) represents a clean slate for Gum Takes Tooth at a time when this ever shifting and morphing entity sheds its skin once again, revealing a lean, formidable and precise new form.

Recalibrating their signature enmeshing of drums and electronics they landed on a propulsive all-electronic delivery that stubbornly eschews genre constraints while maintaining the duo’s clear affinity for  the rattle and rumble of bass bins under duress. Thus was birthed a unique amalgam of industrial grime aerobics, sci-fi mutant 808 protest music and hands-in-the-air rave bangers.

The album documents the tumultuous years of personal and worldwide upheaval since its predecessor. Yet the duo have alchemically transcended their circumstances, channelling the personal and political into salvation. True to form, what’s emerged is their most singular and potent work to date, simultaneously their most pop-adjacent and their most extreme.

KEYMPI, who have been collaborating with each other for the past 10 years in several projects ranging from long experimental feature films - selected and awarded prizes in film festivals around the globe-, a series of live cabaret shows, independent music radio programmes and music production, experimental fashion proposals, folklore research and currently they are uniting forces once again for a music project intended to enhance our individual trajectories and push the boundaries of the sound we collectively revere.
