When Edgar the goldfish dies, a whole new world of emotions and adventures opens up for Eva and Valentin, later joined by Lucas. There's no way for them to keep it all in — in 2017, they create edgar déception as a way to channel their feelings into music. Sometimes fast and chaotic, other times calm and ambient, edgar déception’s songs rise and fall, capturing the feelings of everyday life through sweet riffs and intense buildups.

HALFSILKS are a Berlin based trio consisting of bassist/vocalist Karen Thompson from Winnipeg, drummer/vocalist Jana Sotzko from Berlin and synth player/ vocalist Olivier Bernet from France. 
They manage to sit within the realm of post-punk whilst swirling around it 60s vibes, harmonies that reminisce on both sunshine pop and the avant-garde.

Cloks Tik is vaguely pop oriented, hinging on guitar and vocals. Triphop inspired rhythms prepare the grounds for some sort of sonic flea market where classic songwriting, recycled indie-rock elements and unpredictable noise granulate into thriving ideas of what their music is. Most of their songs deal with the unforgiving nature of reality. Emotions that bother and never seem to resolve.

Edenom, a merge of the Hebrew words for Heaven and Hell, is a show by Berlin-based producer and singer-songwriter Ela Sdayoor. Set to tour Berlin, the show explores emotional transformation during times of crisis. Ela draws from neo-soul and jazz, performing with her band: Laurens Rödel on drums, Ori Mussan Levi on bass, and Ole Kreissl on keys.

Eine der angesagtesten Bands der Neuen Deutschen Welle (zu einer Zeit, als das noch kein Schimpfwort war, sondern ein Begriff für eine wirkliche Wende in der deutschen Musikkultur) kehrt nach den erfolgreichen Auftritten zum 40jährigen Jubiläum der Band nun endlich wieder auf die Bühne zurück. 
Der erste Auftritt seit 1982 erfolgte Ende Mai 2019 im Hamburger Hafenklang, das bereits nach einer Woche (!!!) restlos ausverkauft war.
Ende der siebziger Jahre von Sänger Ziggy XY und Gitarrist Eckart Kurtz aka E.K.T. gegründet, avancierte die aus Hannover stammende Band mit ihren experimentierfreudig angelegten, deutschsprachigen Wave-Klängen innerhalb kürzester Zeit zu einer der wichtigsten Formationen Neuen Deutschen Welle. So zählten seinerzeit Radio-DJ-Legende John Peel und das Musikmagazin Sounds zu den frühen Förderern der Band, die bis zu ihrer Auflösung im Jahre 1984 neben zwei Singles und Minialben ihre beiden, auf dem Kultlabel No Fun erschienenen Longplayer „80 Tage Auf See" (1980) und „Unmodern" (1982) veröffentlichte.
Nach dem grandiosen Reunion-Erfolg waren sich Mattus (Gesang), EKT (Gitarre), Felix (Schlagzeug) und Jenzzz (Bass) einig, daß dieses nicht der letzte Auftritt gewesen sein sollte. Die alte Spielfreude war wieder da und die Fans haben's ordentlich abgefeiert - nicht zuletzt, weil die Band so ziemlich alle Hits Ihres umfangreichen Katalogs im Gepäck hatte.
Mittlerweile wird DER MODERNE MAN am Schlagzeug durch Felix' Nachfolger Lars Horl unterstützt und aktuell arbeitet die Band an einem brandneuen Album. Quasi als Vorbote dazu erscheint bereits im November 2024 die EP "45 Jahre Auf See", auf der eine Neueinspielung von vier Klassikern der Band zu finden ist. „Der Unbekannte", „Licht Und Dunkelheit" und „Vergesslichkeit" stammen vom Debütalbum „80 Tage Auf See", „Sinnloz" entstammt derselben Zeit, liegt hier jedoch erstmalig als Studioversion vor.
Gang Of Four trifft auf Joy Division, gepaart mit der typisch deutschen Sperrigkeit der 80er, die auch John Peel an der Band schon so geliebt hat.

Die TIGER-TOUR bringt die im Februar erscheinende EP „TIGER“ nach Leipzig, Köln, Wien, Hamburg und Berlin.

KOLLEKTIVER BRECHREIZ: Als Metalfan Klein-Steffen im Jahr 1985 aus dem Kuhstall-Proberaum von Schleimkeim ans Tageslicht kroch, gründete er am gleichen Tag mit Bruder Falk eine Punkband: Brechreiz 0815. Vierzig Jahre später kommt ihm immer noch das Würgen.

CONSTANT SMILES was formed in 2009 by Ben Jones. He was joined by different collaborators in versions of the band that manifested as noisy soundscapes, scenic chamber pop, or icy coldwave-adjacent synth-pop, often released on opaquely-designed, ultra-limited albums named after favorite film directors. A move to New York and a few records on Sacred Bones resulted in more people becoming aware of the band, but Jones and friends remained in constant flux. The great unlocking of the Constant Smiles puzzlebox happened when the band solidified into a permanent core lineup when drummer/vocalist Nora Knight joined Jones and longtime bassist Spike Currier in the end of 2022. After years of being defined by visceral change and inconsistency, this stabilized personnel shifted the sound, emotional coloration, and impact of the band. With Knight and Currier providing counterpoint and structure to Jones’ always percolating creative drive, the songs became more streamlined and direct. Still airy and dream-like, the trio version of Constant Smiles that produced Moonflowers has cleared away the clouds of vaguity and uncertainty that could make earlier versions of the band feel harder to connect with. Like the best moments of foundational albums by Talk Talk or Nick Drake, the lived-in majesty of Adrianne Lenker’s Songs/Instrumentals or Jim O’Rourke’s excursions into chamber pop, Moonflowers reaches its dynamic swells naturally, almost subliminally. It’s a sound that past Constant Smiles releases hinted at but never fully achieved.

Much like the night-blooming flora the album takes its name from, Constant Smiles’ Felte debut Moonflowers is the product of slow, largely unseen patterns of growth. The New York-based band forged a path all their own on the way here, gradually growing from an amorphous collection of highly conceptual ideas into something easier to grasp, with every step of their unlikely route leading to Moonflowers, a subtle masterpiece of internally-born ambient pop.

Moonflowers is the clearest possible view of something that took years to form, yet feels naturally like an introduction. The music is cared for but not belabored, and this fits perfectly with songs about the feelings that happen before you have time to think. In this fully arrived form, Constant Smiles taps into something instinctive, an atmosphere of stillness with microscopic parts that never stop moving, and songs that are nearly transparent but still somehow heavier than a mountain.
