CONCRETE VEHICLES (formerly Computer) is a band from Vancouver that originated as a recording project between lifelong friends Hudson Schelesny and Ben Lock. As their recordings developed, the songs became too chaotic and nuanced to play live with a normal band which got them excited about expanding into a larger group. Fast forward a year and Concrete Vehicles is a fully formed seven piece working on transforming their songs to embrace a wider range of instrumentation including saxophone, synths, and percussion. They have played over 50 shows including an Eastern Canadian tour, a UK and Europe tour, with appearances at Sled Island, Khatsalano Festival, M For Montreal, and Left of the Dial.

OLDER FRIENDS who are “Too old to play screamo, too young to not die” are a trio from Berlin and its bubbling DIY scene. 

Their songs bounce between twinkly, playful Midwest-emo passages and bursts of full-on screamo chaos - the kind of contrast that keeps you smiling right until the next emotional gut punch lands. Lyrically, they move between German and English, which adds another layer to their already charmingly chaotic mix. Beneath the sparkle and the noise, their lyrics often tackle themes of self-determination as a woman in a patriarchal society, calling out its many absurdities and injustices.

1000 RABBITS is an off-kilter art-pop picnic who tell stories through human sounds, both intimate and extroverted. Grounded by playful bass synthesiser, expressive vocal lines weave through a colourful tapestry of violin, guitar and drums, creating something immediate and immersive: rhythm-forward, emotionally raw, and built for bodies in motion. LANDE HEKT has quietly become one of the UK’s best underground songwriters. On her 2021 debut full-length Going To Hell and 2022’s House Without a View, she explored her queer identity, sobriety, and childhood trauma through the lens of heartfelt, conversational indie-pop, which led to spots opening for the likes of Alvvays, Throwing Muses and The Beths. Her new album Lucky Now, written and recorded with producer Matthew Simms (Wire, It Hugs Back), reflects the most mature and confident version of Lande Hekt yet. “I’m not as concerned about how I’m presenting myself,” Hekt says. “I’ve tried to think less about how things are coming across, and just write songs that make me feel connected to myself and what I value.

Hekt’s musical touchstones — The Wedding Present, The Sundays, The Replacements — remain the same, but at the same time she’s delved deeper into other influences. Lucky Now is indebted to 1980s twee-pop and jangle-pop like The Pastels, Tallulah Gosh and The Bats, plus more modern iterations of the sound such as Autocamper and Jeanines, in its ecstatic, soaring melodies and gorgeous, tactile guitars.

Am Ende des Tunnel, durch den SPLIZZ uns führen, brennt ein Licht, das bedenklich flackert.

LOTHARIO is the visceral, razor-edged solo project of Melbourne's Annaliese Redlich, who creates feminist punk anthems for the bored and reckless. Conceived in her bedroom in November 2022, Lothario's music is a raw outpouring of late-night hedonism, encapsulating themes of sex, conflict, and rebellion. Redlich's songwriting is a cathartic exploration of betrayal, booze, boyfriends, and bullies - offering a momentary escape from self-doubt and vulnerability. Her music challenges listeners to confront their demons and seize their power.

Lothario's inception was marked by a lo-fi immediacy, with Redlich recording all the instruments, except drums, in her living room. The result is an urgent, desperate menace that resonates through her lyrics and soundscapes. The songs are love letters to losers, filled with an unfiltered intensity that invites listeners to rage until daybreak.

The live lineup includes Shauna Boyle (Cable Ties, Leatherman), Elsa Birrel (Shove), Beth Lockhart (Dumb Punts, Elvis 2), and Al Hall (Cutters).

Lothario quickly gained traction, selling out singles through labels such as Goodbye Boozy, Under The Gun, and Wintergarden. Lothario’s 13 track debut LP ‘Hogtied’ released in September 2024 by Under The Gun (USA) and tape on Low Ambition (Aus) sold out in a record 3 months for the label. The album received broad critical acclaim garnering “Best New Punk release from Bandcamp, and SeeSaw (Evan Minsker ex Pitchfork), as well as tremendous reviews in Post Punk Online, features in Creem Magazine, 3RRRFM, KCRW, Redbull and Siriusxm playlists to name a few.

The band are fresh off the road from a 21 date USA tour playing Gonerfest, U4 Fest and Jacumba Breakdown. They also toured Europe in 2024 and the USA in 2023. With a new record set for release in 2026, and a brand new single ‘The Animal’ fresh out now, there is plenty on the horizon for Lothario.

BELAKO – Berlin-Debüt im Schokoladen
Am Sonntag, 20.09.2026, wird es endlich laut: Belako, die gefeierte Post-Punk-/New-Wave-Band aus dem Baskenland, spielt ihr erstes Berlin-Konzert. Seit 2011 verbinden die vier Musiker*innen aus Mungia treibende Gitarren, elektronische Kälte und politische Dringlichkeit zu einem Sound, der live sofort zündet, direkt in die Fresse. Kommt früh. Der Schokoladen ist kuschelig, der Abend wird groß.

Kelly McMichael is a fearless songwriter and multi-instrumentalist redefining alternative pop/rock with flashes of jazz sophistication and psychedelic shimmer. Her songs feel both instantly familiar and thrillingly unpredictable—nostalgic hooks wrapped in defiant art-rock ambition, channeling resistance with both grit and grace. Kelly’s magnetic stage presence is commanding, cathartic, and unapologetically powerful.

McMichael first cut her teeth co-founding the DIY feminist synth band Rouge, while studying Art at the University of Guelph. She was recruited into Toronto’s vibrant indie scene, performing with artists including Gentleman Reg, Allie X, Tim Baker, The Burning Hell, and Sarah Harmer. Years of touring across North America and Europe, combined with deep dives into bedroom production under the moniker Renders, sharpened her expansive sonic palette and singular artistic voice—fuelling the rise of her acclaimed solo project.

Post-punk/no wave oddity GEO (KJ Braams (bass) Jorne Visser (vocals/guitar), Gijs Deddens (drums) and Ype Zijlstra (keys, electronics) are like a sentient slot machine: whatever seems happenstance is actually by design, and the more mismatched the moving parts appear, the more their music starts to make sense. Since the Groningen quartet’s inception in 2019, they have built a framework of skeletal agit-funk, cartoonish chromatics and neoteric art punk vignettes – sketching negative spaces where chaos and cacophony can sound perplexingly catchy. After releasing their esteemed EP in 2021, the band has entered its next creative chapter.

Out of Body – Geo’s long-awaited debut album – is an oblong snow globe utopia where dancing with two left feet is an actual custom. Out on Erste Theke Tontraeger on April 26, 2024 – this collection of songs constitutes material Geo have been writing and performing when they first entered the circuit. These jitterbug, birdbrained post-punk spiels are in the spirit of gung-ho deconstructionists like The Contortionists, The Fall and Gang of Four. On Out of Body the band play emotions out against each other like some kind of absurdist Punch and Judy show.

850km liegen zwischen Hamburg und Warschau, ein langer Weg, den das Duo Paula & Karol auch nach fünfzehn Jahren der Zusammenarbeit, darunter vier Alben, eine EP und viele Konzerte, gerne zurücklegt, um gemeinsam an seiner herzzerreißend luftig-leichten und sonnendurchfluteten Popmusik zu feilen. Um sich herum haben die beiden eine Bandfamilie versammelt, die ihre Musik zwischen den sehr unterschiedlichen Lebenswelten von Paula in Hamburg sowie als Professorin für die Soziologie der Digitalisierung in St. Gallen und Karol als DJ, Komponist, Produzent und Konzertagent in Warschau einspielt. Die fünf sind über die Jahre Freunde fürs Leben geworden: „Even if life gets a bit strange, we’ll always be playing music“ so das Motto der Band.

Der Albumtitel Lifestrange ist eine Wortschöpfung von Paula & Karols Bassist Jakub Czubak. Es ist sein Ausdruck dafür, wenn die Dinge im Leben mal wieder anders laufen als geplant – und er passt damit auch gut zur Gefühlslage der Band während der Entstehung des Albums. Alle Songs wurden vor Beginn der Pandemie, in einer Zeit der großen sozialen und politischen Unsicherheit in Polen und anderswo geschrieben. Die Aufnahmen mussten dann in zwei Etappen stattfinden: vor Beginn der Pandemie mit der kompletten Band im Studio, später jedes Bandmitglied allein mit dem Tontechniker Jacek Trzeszczyński. Produziert und gemastert wurde es später in zahlreichen „Zoom Happy Hours“ von Arjen Mensinga in Utrecht gemeinsam mit Paula & Karol.

Inspiriert von Künstlern wie den frühen Hall & Oates, Bob Dylan oder der Band Whitney aus Chicago und unter dem Eindruck der aktuellen Lage, ist das Album wohl zum eklektischsten der bisherigen Bandgeschichte geworden. Americana trifft auf Psychedelic Folk und 1970er Dad-Rock. Paula kommentiert den Sound so: „I really like the new vibe we created on this album. It's more slick, but it's still heartfelt. I feel there is a bit more coolness, less of a folky and ‘be happy’ vibe than we usually do”.

Grito Exclamac!ón is a movement born from the search for self and a counterculture that responds to the social problems they experience daily by creating resonant expressions in music. From Mexico City, they always seek an intimate, cathartic, and chaotic interaction that envelops you in a theatrical narrative, describing their reality through aggressive verses, angular guitars, eclectic rhythms, melodic basses, and sporadic trumpets, creating a raw, direct, and carefree aesthetic.

J Mahon is the musical project of Berlin-based Australian expat Jarrod Michael Mahon. After years of self-released home recordings, he debuted with Everything Has a Life in 2023, produced with Syd Kemp (Thurston Moore, Ulrika Spacek, Spiritualized). In 2025, Mahon signed to Unique Records and reunited with Kemp for his second album, the chamber-pop Begin Again, Again, released June 27. Influenced by Sparklehorse, Spiritualized and Daniel Johnston, Mahon's songs combine intimate pop, chamber strings and guitar feedback. Live, he moves between haunting solo sets and a powerful seven-piece band, having performed at SXSW, The Great Escape and toured with artists including King Krule, Speedy Ortiz and Ariel Pink.

"30th Anniversary Concert "MacArthur Lane" Album

30 years after its release, the band is performing the entire album together with special guest ANNA SUHR. In 1991, mastermind Olaf Schumacher—until then the singer and songwriter for the Most Wanted Men—formed THE GROOVY CELLAR. Named after a Neo Sixties club in London in the early '80s, the name more than hints at the band's musical direction. In 1996, the band's debut album *MacArthur Lane* was released on the Hamburg-based label Marsh-Marigold. It featured top-notch twee pop anthems such as "The Silly Season" and "The Summer of Falling Stars".

Since then, the band has released a number of singles and EPs, as well as additional albums on Twang! and Firestation Records.
In concert, THE GROOVY CELLAR has shared the stage with such diverse artists as Television Personalities, Liga der Gewöhnlichen Gentlemen, Fehlfarben, Cleaners From Venus, Ian Brown (Stone Roses), The Movement, and Stone Foundation."
