Mit Jamaican Jazz und handfesten Reggae-Grooves bringen  Wood In Di Fire bei ihren Live-Sessions die Dancehall zum Toben. Was  als Jam-Projekt von Musikern aus verschiedenen Berliner Bands begann, hat sich zur festen Formation entwickelt. Doch  der Session-Gedanke ist  immer noch lebendig: Die Bandmitglieder und Gäste bringen die verschiedensten Einflüsse aus Reggae, Jazz, Ska, Latin und Afro-Beat mit und sorgen damit immer wieder für überraschende Kicks. 
Auf zahlreichen Touren durch Deutschland, Österreich, Frankreich, Spanien, Ungarn und der Schweiz begeisterten Wood In Di Fire ihr Publikum mit ihrer außergewöhnlichen, interkontinentalen, musikalischen Fusion auf treibenden Reggae Beats und Jazzy Grooves.
Seit das Projekt im Jahre 2000 startete, spielt Wood In Di Fire traditionell im Berliner „Schokoladen“. Der bis heute monatlich stattfindende Reggae-Jam wurde schnell vom Geheimtipp zum etablierten Termin der Berliner Reggae-Szene.

ATOMIC LOBSTER  ist eine Band aus der lebendigen Stuttgarter Musikszene, bestehend aus Ella Estrella Tischa (Gitarre/Gesang), Daniel Herrmann (Bass/Gesang) und Armando Bleher (Schlagzeug). Inspiriert von Vorbildern wie PJ Harvey und Radiohead haben sie ihren eigenen Sound entwickelt. Ihre Musik, eine geschickte Fusion aus Grunge mit Nuancen von Soul und Trip-Hop, zollt ihrer Nostalgie für die 90er Jahre Tribut und bringt gleichzeitig neue, unverwechselbare Klänge mit ins Spiel.

CLAWS - das Debütalbum von ATOMIC LOBSTER, ist ab dem 17.05.2024 überall zu hören. Das Album ist das Ergebnis eines dynamischen Schreibprozesses zwischen Stuttgart und Berlin und reflektiert die Spannungen unserer Zeit, ohne dabei in Resignation zu verharren oder zynisch zu werden. Mit seinen verspielten Arrangements und experimentellen Sounds, die eine Atmosphäre von Sensibilität, Wut und Leidenschaft erzeugen, begibt sich das Trio auf die CLAWS TOUR 2024.

Seth Faergolzia (Dufus / Multibird) will be joined by a gaggle of Berlin locals (Heiko B HorrorMe, Susie Asado, Brian Speaker and more) covering the songs of the inimitable Purple Organ RIP. Following this musical memorial, Faergolzia will pull surprises from his 25 year career for you astounded listeners.

LSD – Liebe Statt Drogen ist eine der bekanntesten Lesebühnen Berlins. Jeden Dienstagabend gestalten die 5 Mitglieder von LSD und eingeladene Gäste im Berliner Schokoladen ein Programm aus neuen Texten und Songs. Gegründet 1996 besteht LSD heute aus den Mitgliedern Andreas „Spider“ Krenzke, Tobias „Tube“ Herre, Uli Hannemann, Eva Mirasol und Ivo Lotion. Alle 5 genannten Künstler sind als Autoren und Musiker auch in anderen Bereichen aktiv.

LSD bietet jeden 1. & 3. Dienstag ein Offenes Mikro für Menschen an, die spontan etwas vortragen wollen. Beachtet bitte, dass der Beitrag selbstverfasst sein muss und nicht länger als 6 Minuten dauert. Wer am Offenen Mikro liest, braucht keinen Eintritt zahlen und bekommt ein Freigetränk.

And The Wiremen
 
And The Wiremen was formed around 2010 at a studio in the middle of swamp just north of New Orleans. New York-based composer Lynn Wright had gathered a group of musicians­––among them his then principal collaborator Sparklehorse's Paul Watson and bassist Tony Maimone (Pere Ubu, etc.) ––to record songs he had written for other singers. Early in the proceedings, the engineer refused to continue working unless Wright sang them himself. He agreed.
 
Between 2010 and early 2016 And The Wiremen recording an eponymous album, the EP Send Me Low, and a single Caged Bird with a multi-generational, genre-crossing gaggle of musicians. When so inclined and their usual musical duties allowed, they would do short tours of the US and Europe, and then disappear from whence they came.
 
In 2016 the band went on hiatus following Watson's premature retirement from music due to worsening symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Wright went back to composing for dance and film, performing with various free-improvisation and new music ensembles, and released an album with Swan's guitarist Norman Westberg and former Swans/Foetus bassist Algis Kizys under the moniker This Is Where.
 
The band reconvened at the end of 2019 for series of shows in New York. With their new album Night Cracks Harbor, slated for a fall 2020 release, the on again/off again project becomes a more focused band, helmed by Wright with violinist Simon Goff serving as co-producer and arranger. The nourish jazz tendencies that were prominent on their early recordings are less obvious, and the music falls somewhere between a post-rock iteration of early Roxy Music and the fringes of PJ Harvey's more recent work. As Always, it is really a sound of their own, no matter how familiar it may seem.

Mad Kate | the Tide are a post punk conceptual performance project with the Tide on guitar, loops, electronics and Mad Kate on vocals, poetry, contact mics and performance.

Now joined by Sara Neidorf on drums, Mad Kate | the Tide has just finished an EP This Morning Waking about genderbased violence and is working on an LP sexWORKperformanceART about the relationship between labour, art and the body. Their Discography also includes ALIVE:ness (LP/eBook 2014), Combinatorics (EP/eBook 2013), will be ready – the Teufelsberg session – (LP Freudian Slit Records 2013) and Leather Jacket (Single/remix 2012)

Composed in dialogue with conceptual explorations and texts, Mad Kate | the Tide’s dynamic sonicscapes mix punk, acoustic folk, psychedelic rock and spoken word. They form the backbone for honest, sometimes darkly provocative performance art and movement which provokes and stirs its audiences.

In their multimedia work ALIVE:ness they ask: To what extent are we alive in each other’s lives —physically, emotionally, electronically, living or dead — taking into account our contemporary context of virtual interaction, shape-shifting and polyphysical interpretations of our own identities? What does it mean to be present when the terms of our own existence are relative to how we interact physically and virtually with those most close to us? What does it mean to queer our identity in a global context in order to be more effective activists and global citizens?

EXEK are returning to Europe and the UK in May/June 2024! The Australian post-punk outfit will be promoting their latest record ‘The Map and the Territory’ released October 2023 on Foreign Records. The other reason for the tour is that the band is now ten years old. In that time, EXEK have released six albums, and have toured Japan, the USA, and Europe. Their sound is difficult to pigeon hole due to a wide variety of influences (punk, trip-hop, RnB, dub, kraut, avant-garde), but the general consensus is something in the lineage of The Fall, Happy Mondays, ESG, and PIL. 

For the band, the highlights are not fame and fortune (well aware of their slim odds), but more so finding recognition amongst the artists they admire and are influenced by. Whether it's supporting Liars and Anika, or being added to playlists by late greats like Mark Stewart and Andrew Weatherall. Come find them playing a town near you!

Post-punk/no wave oddity Geo (KJ Braams (bass) Jorne Visser (vocals/guitar), Gijs Deddens (drums) and Ype Zijlstra (keys, electronics) are like a sentient slot machine: whatever seems happenstance is actually by design, and the more mismatched the moving parts appear, the more their music starts to make sense. Since the Groningen quartet’s inception in 2019, they have built a framework of skeletal agit-funk, cartoonish chromatics and neoteric art punk vignettes – sketching negative spaces where chaos and cacophony can sound perplexingly catchy. After releasing their esteemed EP in 2021, the band has entered its next creative chapter.

Out of Body – Geo’s long-awaited debut album – is an oblong snow globe utopia where dancing with two left feet is an actual custom. Out on Erste Theke Tontraeger on April 26, 2024 – this collection of songs constitutes material Geo have been writing and performing when they first entered the circuit. These jitterbug, birdbrained post-punk spiels are in the spirit of gung-ho deconstructionists like The Contortionists, The Fall and Gang of Four. On Out of Body the band play emotions out against each other like some kind of absurdist Punch and Judy show.
