LSD – Liebe Statt Drogen ist eine der bekanntesten Lesebühnen Berlins. Jeden Dienstagabend gestalten die 5 Mitglieder von LSD und eingeladene Gäste im Berliner Schokoladen ein Programm aus neuen Texten und Songs. Gegründet 1996 besteht LSD heute aus den Mitgliedern Andreas „Spider“ Krenzke, Tobias „Tube“ Herre, Uli Hannemann, Eva Mirasol und Ivo Lotion. Alle 5 genannten Künstler sind als Autoren und Musiker auch in anderen Bereichen aktiv.

LSD bietet jeden 1. & 3. Dienstag ein Offenes Mikro für Menschen an, die spontan etwas vortragen wollen. Beachtet bitte, dass der Beitrag selbstverfasst sein muss und nicht länger als 6 Minuten dauert. Nach mehreren Jahren betritt der ehemalige Pornomat Sänger für ein einziges Konzert wieder die Bühne - mit neuen Songs, alten Hits und neuer Band. An den Drums sitzt Sönke Reich (BAP, Stoppok, von Brücken, Elif) und den Bass spielt Flo Baufeld (Kensington Road).<\/p>\r\n

Siebeth Songs leben neben seinen bittersüßen ironischen Texten von sehr eingängigen Melodien, klassischem Songwriting und seiner Spielfreude, sich an verschiedensten musikalischen Elementen zu bedienen. Pollyanna (Indie\/Folk\/France)
 
Pollyanna is a French indie-folk singer-songwriter. Her honest songwriting and her heart-warming voice is backed up by an electric or acoustic guitar. She has issued three albums and performed in hundreds of venues across the western hemisphere. Despite a natural flair for minor chords, Isabelle's cheerful presence, eclectic taste and experiences as an outsider (in Europe, the USA, South America...) open up her musical field to all things pop, rock, folk and folklores. Her French taste for poetry and social commentary is perceivable. As an ex-journalist, she loves to deal with 21th century obsessions, sometimes in a tongue-in-cheek way : travels, the weight of history, identities, resilience... Her songs are both timeless and ultimately contemporary. <\/p>\r\n

NAP EYES’ metamorphic fifth long-player collects a cache of nine fascinating songs recorded over the four years since Snapshot of a Beginner. The Neon Gate reveals classic touchstones (the uneasy interplay of physics and philosophy, perambulatory meditations, self-interrogating soliloquies, apertures of surreality, video games), but also evidence of divergent impulses toward nonlinear abstraction and longform improvisational composition (resulting in their most discursive, deconstructed, and deliquescent songs to date) and narrative and lyric formality (including adaptations of thorny poems by Alexander Pushkin and W. B. Yeats), imparting the sense that Nap Eyes have transmuted, as has their understanding of what a song is, what it can do, where it might go.<\/p>\r\n

NAIVE SET is an Amsterdam-based band that, for more than 10-years, has taken a loose approach to detailed guitar pop, making songs both easy on the ears and pleasing on repeat. In their three previous full-lengths and one EP, the band weaved together hazy and wavy with bright and shiny, channeling guitar-pop classics without being defined by them.
 
Dubbed “smart, highly catchy indiepop,” by VPRO 3voor12 and “classic-indie artisans” by MOJO, Naive Set is back in 2024, releasing stellar new material (compared to “silver crystal” by the Volkskrant) with the Amsterdam-based label AT EASE. Their full length, In Air Quotes, is out October 18th.
 
Recorded at Schenk Studio, Amsterdam, then mixed in Melbourne by Mikey Young, the Australian producer of bands like Dick Diver, Total Control, and Twerps.

krautfuzz started out recording live improvisations at the ZONE Studio, Berlin, in November 2022.
As Imari Kokubo (drums), Dirk Dresselhaus (guitar\/vocal), and Derek Shirley (bass) come from an
extended variety of musical backgrounds, including activities with the likes of Faust, Vladislav Delay
Quartet, die ANGEL, Schneider TM, Piratezombiedog, Monno, The Still, and Hi-Speed Dubbing, the
premise is to boil down stylistic concepts to their essence by playing adventurous, cathartic, and
time-transcending music without a safety net, while giving some extra attention to
communication in-between each other as well as to the individual subconsciousness. krautfuzz is
embossed by an angular-futuristic tension, spanning from fuzzed-out neo-psych-rock to
abstract, heavily processed minimalism to pure noise, and is open at the fringes, which means
the implementation of occasional, non-typical musical elements in the studio, live video
improvisations by iLan katin as well as surprise guest performers at their live shows, which
usually join in at the 2nd set of the evening and so far included luminaires such as saz player Murat
Ertel (Baba Zula), experimental saxophonist André Vida, J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.), sitar player Chandra
Shukla (Xambuca), or Eleni Poulou (ex-The Fall) & Hilary Jeffery (zeitkratzer).

MITRAILLE: The city of Antwerp, Belgium may be primarily known for its harbour, cathedral and diamond trade, but anyone who scratches beneath the surface can find a thriving underground scene. Especially in the last few years the great output of hardcore and garage punk bands makes one suspect that - besides massive PFAS pollution and record breaking cocaine residue levels - there must be something in the water.

Mitraille burst unto this scene in 2018 with a sound that takes the bursting-at-the-seams energy of modern day basement hardcore and injects it into a strain of diseased garage- and post punk. Think Uranium Club if they were Motörhead roadies with anger management issues. The band has been shredding its way through Europe since day one, releasing three EP's and a full album in the process. With a new album due for autumn 2024, Mitraille is ready to spread the Belgian garagecore gospel once more.<\/p>\r\n

Last night I felt like in the famous club scene of Wim Wenders' 1987 movie 'Wings of Desire' (Der Himmel über Berlin). But it was not Nick Cave on stage but Infamis and Wim was in the audience, dancing. This was way stronger, this was Sisyphos making music. An old but never discovered band, knowing they have to die and will be forgotten play for free. They are not giving in, fighting another last fight with a stone in their fists. Beautiful lyrics. SCHNAPS sind ein kompromisslos, antifaschistisches Punkrock Duo, das seine Wurzeln in Hamburg und dem Harz hat. SCHNAPS sind 95 Jahre alt und musizieren seit 2000 in verschiedenen Bandformationen zusammen. Im Jahre 2019 beschlossen Ronald und Christoph ihre Musik auf das Wesentliche zu reduzieren. Hierzu kombinieren sie den Punk der Achtziger mit dem Hardcore der Neunziger und verpacken ihre politische Botschaft in Alltagsgeschichten, die sie in deutscher Sprache erzählen. TEA EATER is a New York City based art\/noise punk band led by Tarra Thiessen of Gustaf and Sharkmuffin. Their sound combines catchy hooks with sardonic lyrics about butter, killing your doppelganger, and how the DMV is the worst. Formed in 2022, Tea Eater quickly established themselves through their high-energy live shows and DIY ethos. Since the release of their first single “I’m Starting a Podcast,” Tea Eater have shared the stage with Thee Oh Sees, completed a successful residency at Bushwick venue The Broadway, and toured the U.S. East Coast.<\/p>\r\n

Euphoric Elephants is a Berliner Rock Band, formed in 2014. After some gigs they produced their debut album \"E\u018e\" released in 2016.
The band had changes of members during its trajectory, being Chucky Limon its founding member, guitarist and vocalist, Sebas Le Metronome its bassist from 2017, and Alex Rubio its drummer from 2019.

Mary Anibal is not only a powerful vocalist, but also a gifted mbira player, breathing new life into one of Zimbabwe’s most iconic traditional instruments.
Rooted in Shona spiritual and musical heritage, the mbira is often called the \"voice of the ancestors\"—and in Mary’s hands, it becomes a tool for both healing and transformation. Her playing bridges generations, blending the trance-like, cyclical melodies of ancestral mbira music with contemporary Afro-fusion elements.<\/p>\r\n

Chelsea<\/strong> were formed in 1976 by front man Gene October. Spearheading the punk movement, their debut single ‘Right To Work’ was released in 1977 which brought the attention of the music press. Gene October was responsible for starting The Roxy Club in Soho where many of the early punk bands started playing and Chelsea began playing alongside the likes of The Clash, The Damned, The Police, Sham 69. Featuring in Derrek Jarman’s punk film ‘Jubilee’ Chelsea also featured on 2 John Peel sessions and the Old Grey Whistle Test at the BBC promoting their self titled first album. After a succession of singles and release of a 2nd album Chelsea toured the U.K & America releasing their 3rd album ‘Evacuate’ in 1980. The Evacuate album saw them touring again in the U.S and in the U.K with Anti Nowhere League on the infamous ‘So What’ tour. Through various line-up changes over 4 decades, October continued to tour with Chelsea releasing 17 singles and 12 studio albums to date. Celebrating their 40th anniversary in 2016 many of the Chelsea albums have been re-issued on collectors limited colored vinyl. The release of Chelsea’s complete recordings feature in the new anthology box sets 1 – 3 which include demos, previously unheard tracks, a historical biography through the albums, pictures and lyrics to all the songs. In 2023 Chelsea was celebrating 40 years of „Evacuate“, the classic album of the band. Lollise <\/strong>is a musician, visual artist and fashion designer from Botswana, currently living in NYC.
Using sound, color and movement, Lollise tells stories of real and imagined worlds,
multidimensional and nuanced, historical and futuristic. She performs with a potent energy and
commitment to the music, in body and in spirit. Lollise creates hybrid songs for this moment,
taking influence from the music she grew up with – Setswana and Kalanga folk songs, '80s and
'90s South African electronic bubblegum and kwaito, Congolese soukous and Zimbabwean
sungura – and the music she has been exposed to in New York, including Afrobeat, new wave,
and art-pop.<\/p>\r\n

Adelle Nqeto's <\/strong>music stems from the gaze of an introverted observer with a passion for melody and stories. Rooted in South African folk and exploring Jazz, Indie and Pop sensibilities, the Berlin-based musician’s work expresses the beauty and complexity in our human reality. Quite fittingly, her music style has been labelled as “Alternative African Folk”.<\/p>\r\n

»Minor Citizen is a three-piece rock band from Amsterdam with a big mouth. With a raw mix of hard rock and grungepop, the band is comparable to great acts like Triggerfinger, Queens of the Stone Age, and IDLES.<\/p>\r\n

With an EP produced by Mario Goossens from Triggerfinger, they traveled around the
Netherlands during Popronde. They attracted a lot of attention as one of the most booked acts, with an energetic live show that managed to whip up every single audience.<\/p>\r\n

Gob<\/a> is a legendary Canadian punk band from Vancouver, British Columbia, known for their
infectious, hook-laden sound and relentless DIY ethic. As they approach their 30th anniversary, Gob’s
influence on the punk scene remains undeniable. The band first gained prominence in 1995 with their hit
“Soda” from the album Too Late… No Friends, which became a youth anthem in Canada, thanks in part to its
iconic music video which received heavy rotation on Canada’s Muchmusic.
Over the years, Gob has released six full-length albums, sold over 300,000 physical copies, and earned
Juno nominations and Gold record certifications. Their singles “I Hear You Calling” and “Give Up the Grudge”
further solidified their place in punk rock history. Known for their energetic live shows, Gob has performed

Ende der Siebziger begannen Annette „Ba\u0308rchen“ Simons und eine Gruppe Teenager-„Milchbubis“, Hannover unsicher zu machen. Von da an war die Band mit ihren humorvoll-subversiven Texten breitfla\u0308chig vertreten: Von Jugendzentren, Underground-Tapes und nischigen Fanzines u\u0308ber die Bravo bis ins BRD-Fernsehen sowie auf den großen Bu\u0308hnen des Landes – viele waren dem Ba\u0308rchen-Charme verfallen. Die norwegische Rockband LÜT<\/a> meldet sich zurück - lauter, mutiger und lebendiger als je zuvor. Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 2014 haben sich LÜT bei Rock-, Pop- und Punk-Fans einen Namen gemacht. Ihr Debütalbum brachte ihnen Nominierungen für die norwegischen Grammys und die Auszeichnung „New Band of the Year“ des norwegischen Radiosenders P3 Gull ein. Auch Metallica-Schlagzeuger Lars Ulrich lobte die Band für ihre energiegeladenen Auftritte im Podcast „It's Electric“.

Eine inspirierende, berauschende Reise an der Grenze des Machbaren, zwischen Breakbeat, Techno, Punk und Ambient.
Seit mehr als 30 Jahren betreten Rizio und Scheng bewusst die Shadowlands neben unseren Erwartungen. Sie brechen aus bestehenden musikalischen Normen aus und kreieren etwas völlig Neues, Eigenes. Zitate aus dem Punk und Hardcore werden genauso authentisch umgesetzt wie Drum and Bass, Breakbeat, Techno oder Klassikeinflüsse.

Ursprünglich aus der Punkszene stammend wurden GUTS PIE EARSHOT in den 90er Jahren - damals mit fünf Mitgliedern - als Avantgarde-Legende des undogmatischen Hardcore auf unzähligen Festivals und Konzerten gefeiert.
Seit 2004 treten Jean Jacobi, Schlagzeug und Patrick Reerink, E-Cello als Duo auf.
Seitdem spielten die beiden Musiker neben unzähligen Konzerten im deutschsprachigen Raum jährliche Tourneen in Osteuropa und wurden 2005 und 2011 zu Kulturaustauschen nach Klaipeda, Litauen und Murmansk, Russland eingeladen. 2006 spielten sie auf dem Sziget-Festival und seit 1999 sind sie regelmässiger Gast auf dem Fusion-Festival.

DIE ZÄRTLICHKEIT

Kurz nachdem sich Andreas Fischer und Tobias Emmerich 2019 kennengelernt hatten, wurden die ersten Songs geschrieben und im Homestudio aufgenommen. Zum Vorbild nahmen sie sich den britischen Gitarren-Pop der 80er-Jahre: The Smiths, Orange Juice, Felt. Samtweich klangen jene Formationen und wenngleich ihre Melodien durchaus beschwingt daher kamen, wurden sie doch immer aus Empfindsamkeit geboren.

Nach mehreren in Eigenregie veröffentlichten Werken erschien Ende 2023 das erste Album Heimweh Meisterwerke bei Tapete Records, gefolgt von kleineren Clubkonzerten in ganz Deutschland.
In der Zwischenzeit hat die Band an neuem Material gearbeitet, das am 25. April 2025 bei Kleine Untergrund Schallplatten erscheint: popsongs

They bring instruments & vocals in different directions within the same scales and keys to create a dense melodic atmosphere. F.P.B.<\/strong> <\/a>{ short for Fourth Price Band } was one of the most influencial precursor band, from czech «punk» movement, formed in 1980 at Teplice —town bordering germany— by bassist, singer and poet Miroslav Wanek & his friend Petr R\u016f\u017ei\u010dka, who improvised sort of «manager». These two amigos  were soon joined by drummer Milan Nový and, later, by guitarist Romek Hanzlík. This line∼up scoured nearly 40 concerts { including a unique & epic date at the polish Jarocin festival } until 1985, when Mirek & Romek joined and truly launched the stammering collective U\u017e Jsme Doma<\/a>…
In 1986, the «manager» tried to reboot (under the same name) with a new members around the original drummer, who broke up in 1987…<\/p>\r\n

low key orchestra. Mehr Understatement in einem Bandnamen geht nicht. Der wirklich unpassendste – und damit passendste – Name wurde da von So\u0308nke Torpus fu\u0308r etwas gefunden, das, ohne u\u0308bertreiben zu wollen, musikalisch wirklich Großartiges birgt.<\/p>\r\n

Aber erstmal kurz von vorne. low key orchestra ist das neue Bandprojekt des eben genannten. Allen Indie-Folk-Connaisseuren unter uns wird seine ehemalige Band Torpus & the Art Directors ein Begriff bzw. in guter Erinnerung sein und die Freude ins Gesicht geschrieben stehen, dass nun neue Musik vor der Tu\u0308r der Lieblingslieder steht.<\/p>\r\n

„maybe words“ hieß der erste von mehreren low key orchestra Songs, die dieses Jahr vero\u0308ffentlicht werden und es ist schlichtweg ein wundervolles Lied. So\u0308nke ist eine kleine Hymne fu\u0308r all jene gelungen, die eine ausgestreckte Hand oder ein offenes Ohr beno\u0308tigen. Als ha\u0308tte er sich gedacht: „Wenn ich nicht in deiner Na\u0308he sein kann, dann bekommst du immerhin einen Refrain, der mehr Trost spendet als 1000 Umarmungen.”<\/p>\r\n

Aus jeder Zeile spricht aufrichtiges Mitgefu\u0308hl. Zusammen mit dem Produzenten Helgi Helgasson hat So\u0308nke es geschafft, einen unausweichbaren Text in warme und facettenreiche Musik zu u\u0308bersetzen. Soundtechnisch schwebt das low key orchestra – vor allem hierzulande - sehr eigensta\u0308ndig in einer Klang- und Gefu\u0308hlswelt, die von Bands wie Bright Eyes, Whitney und den Flaming Lips gepra\u0308gt wurde. Im Songwriting hingegen fnden sich Parallelen zu fru\u0308hen Alben von Coldplay oder Keane. So\u0308nke sagt u\u0308ber sich selbst, er habe die Musik fu\u0308r eine lange Zeit verloren. Zu unserem Glu\u0308ck hat er sie – oder vielleicht auch sie ihn – wiederentdeckt.
